Thank you so much for answering my question! It really means alot and I will pass it along to my friends the next time we meet up 😊 I just finished "Fearing the Black Body" by Sabrina Strings and re-reading bell hooks is next! Thank you again for all you do 🫶
I had read "Feminism is for Everyone" in college in a gender theory and studies class but I never realized there was more! Most of her books are available on Spotify premium as well as many many other radical books if anyone happens to have that subscription
I have been in my obscure book rabbit hole for a while now and have finally gotten around to starting Eileen J Garrett's "Awareness". She was a close friend of Aldous Huxley and a well-known medium who documented sooo much of her psychic journey. What is fascinating about this book is that it was written in 1943, not long after Uranus had entered gemini and of course not long after the second world war started. I am eager to see what perspectives and ideas I leave with to share with my fellow radical witches...
Waitttt I need to add this to my reading list then omg. Anything Thank you for putting me on to this historical connection. What does she get into in the book that might be relevant today?
She is really passionate about bringing mysticism into the realm of science, and she is very critical of how materialistic western scientists tend to be. I think I'm most interested in the techniques for achieving trance/clairvoyance that she gets into later on, but so far I've only read a few chapters...
Thank you for answering my question! I really don’t have many people to talk about this with , when it comes to this subject. So many focus on Trumps puppet show they don’t stop to look at the puppeteers. You honestly put that into a less scary perspective for me. Though I know there are going to be some extremely tough times ahead. I will continue to do my best to stay levelheaded and prepared. Living through all this as an autistic person I really hyper focus on things. So I get overwhelmed very easy. I’m trying hard to live in the moment, be informed, care for my 2 disabled children and stay ready for anything.
