✩ June Political Astrology Q&A ✩
another round of burning questions just in time for summer <3
Hey guys!!
Hopefully everyone has been well and basking in the cool embrace of some crisp air conditioning these days. I haven’t been outside since the NY heatwave descended upon us a few days ago, so I’ve been in the house finalizing the latest podcast episode, which will finally be dropping before the end of the month.
I’m also SOOO happy to be answering some more questions again! We’ve mentioned this before, but our lovely paid subscribers are a bit shy with their Q&A submissions (no shame, we just missed hearing from y’all!) It’s been a while since we’ve had any, so it’s great to get some rolling in again, especially now that the sun is shining :)
The chain of events in this country from the last time we had submissions has been volatile to say the least. We’re in the final degree of Uranus in Taurus, and I know there will be a LOT on everyone’s mind once we finally cross over into Uranus in Gemini 11 days from now on July 7th. I hope you’ve all been adopting some Gemini-themed hobbies since the last time we gathered here. Anyone’s garden started to produce a harvest? Any obscure yet interesting books being read right now? Any languages picked up?
I also hope you’re all talking to your family, friends, community, etc, and forming connections of care and reciprocity, no matter how mundane the circumstances are when you see each other. They’ll be important in the near future in ways none of us will grasp until they’re in front of us.
For those who are new, 4th World Oasis releases a Q&A on all things political astrology related, submitted from paid subscribers as a thank you for being contributors in helping this content get created and remain free to the public. If you would like to submit a question and are considering upgrading, here is a handy guide on how to do so :* )
This month’s questions were submitted by our subscribers Zeddylux and Kristina (thank you guys!!) Enjoy!
1) Peter Thiel, I know he’s dangerous, but how far do you think he will go? I am more afraid of his actions and Curtis Yarvins than Trump.
Dana: I actually had no idea who this guy was until this question was posed, so thank you for making me aware of yet another capitalist freak. From looking up his views, he sounds like your average eugenicist technocrat. My concern with him is primarily surrounding his history of using AI facial recognition to target folks during Trump’s first presidency to assist ICE. His work with Palantir has me thinking that social media privacy and anti-surveillance measures for daily life, especially with domestic and international travel, will need to be adopted sooner rather than later.
Last week, an Australian writer was sent back to Melbourne after Los Angeles DHS agents questioned him for reporting on the Columbia pro-Palestine student protests. He noted that they were waiting for him as he got off the plane and that their sophistication in the matter was ‘certainly facilitated by Palantir’. This isn’t the first social media driven airport detaining in recent memory, but now that OpenAI has its $200 million dollar contract with the state department and given Theil’s own hand in data mining, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a direct hand in the uptick of travel-based state surveillance as social unrest grows during this administration. Palantir is doing its best to maneuver and remain an ubiquitous influence in our daily life now that folks are boycotting companies affiliated with them and KKR (*cough* Boiler Room) as well as making their background investments public knowledge.
Again, this isn’t anything uniquely scary since this country spies on its citizens and adversaries all the time. The folks in office just don’t care about the illusion of democracy anymore. I would mainly just anticipate more of his insane tech-dystopian visions of life extension, artificial intelligence, and racial capitalist desires for ‘progress’ to start entering the public discourse. At the end of the day, all these men have roles to play. Trump is the public face with the biggest target on his back, but they all work as a cohesive unit to keep American settler colonial terror alive.
CJ: He has money, but honestly has not been a huge concern to me. There is nothing that Thiel supports that wasn’t already part of the United States culture (thinking about eugenics and surveillance). Curtis Yarvin is no different to me, both are using their money to lean into to the ideological roots of the empire.
I know Dara Starr Tucker recently did a video on both men that put them in the forefront, but what they’re doing isn’t exactly new. Peter Thiel is our modern-day Henry Ford. There is an ideological struggle being waged, that is for sure. Yes, both men have power and influence, but no they’re not running the show, at least not alone. We cannot ignore their class position and what role they play in the bourgeois. The fact of the matter is the ruling class is steering, and they’re just two people involved. We are talking about the United States Empire, an active colonial entity. Thiel and Yarvins are just two men within a dying empire.
2) What are some strategies we can use to help young children understand these difficult topics without overwhelming them?
Dana: I love this question so much. Mainly because the process of learning the origins and rules of this colonial matrix is overwhelming and deeply nonsensical even as an adult, so I can only imagine what it’s like to then explain to a young child who still doesn’t even understand why things like rent, poverty, homophobia, genocide and racism exist when there’s grown adults who still rationalize their existence. I’m not a parent and I’m also an only child, so having conversations with young children is not something I have much experience with outside of being a camp counselor back when I was 18. But I’ve always had the strong desire to be an older sister or cousin figure for younger children, and while I was at camp, I loved radicalizing my campers in the little ways that I could in the summertime.
Thoroughly knowing the history of these difficult topics in order to make them digestible would be the first strategy. When kids get to the ‘why’ stage of development, I feel like it’s because they genuinely want to get to the root of what doesn’t make sense to them. They just got here and are straightforward in their thinking, needs, and desires, and I see that extend to rationalizing how the world works. If you’re someone who’s been on an unlearning and deconstructing journey and adamant about teaching, knowing the roots of where our modern problems can be traced from will help tremendously.
For some topics, the answer isn’t as convoluted as we think it is. Responding with ‘capitalism;'‘ and/or ‘racism’ when people ask why illogical things in society are the way they are is a running in-joke for people who are left leaning, and that’s honestly a sufficient answer given that most adults have years of history lessons from school to give us prior context given the topic. But young kids don’t have years of schooling yet, so being a resource that can genuinely educate and expand on their questions rather than defaulting to ‘that’s just the way things are’ is beyond helpful. Even offering a simple understanding of who, what, when, where and why in an age-appropriate way will carry them far and can lead to bigger and more complex discussions as they continue to learn and grow.
Another vital strategy would be in removing the pervasive negative emotions on why certain people have the hand they have in life is also crucial. I always say that kids start from a base level of empathy and compassion and are taught to rationalize oppressive logics as they grow up either directly or passively. The meritocracy places blame on oppressed individuals for their place in this world instead of the systems and structures that pre-installed societal obstacles from birth. Studying and learning history has a fantastic way of removing the internalized shame of our conditions in the present, and by extension, can help young kids build their empathy for others as well as their critical thinking.
As for being overwhelmed while learning about these topics, I don’t know if there’s an easy answer to prevent kids from feeling those emotions. But validating their feelings is essential. I know I personally need to get better at telling people not to be scared about upsetting world events, even if I’m coming from a place of faith in our ability to come together and be courageous and persevere in the midst of everything. If they’re scared or confused, they should know it’s okay to feel those emotions while also knowing you’ll be a source of love and guidance to ride those feelings out with them. Providing a space of reassurance, information, nonjudgment and safety is how they won’t spiral into doomism. There are grown adults well into their 60s and beyond for whom these topics are still a lot to digest and struggle to wrap their heads around. Young and old, people need to know that outside of fear and dread, there is faith, love, and a future of alternative possibilities. Even if you don’t have all the answers, let them know you’ll be with them on the journey to finding them.
CJ: Definitely give them space and time to digest the events happening around them. Be prepared to answer questions they may have, especially the challenging ones, but be honest with them. Now is really important to give them the space to regulate their emotions, depending on the age they are likely seeing videos and images, so their behavior might be abnormal.
There are a lot of emotions they might be holding as they watch events unfold, so be gentle, but just understand their outbursts over something might not be from that one thing. Opportunities to draw, color, paint, write, and design are great for giving them ways to express themselves without speaking. Even music is another way to connect with them. I will say it should be a mixture of letting them come to you with questions, but also starting the dialogue yourself to ensure you are countering messages they are hearing from social media or others.
Thank you guys for reading! Uranus in Gemini: Military Edition is on its last round of edits and will be out before July comes around. She’s another big one, so I appreciate the patience as always.
In the meantime, since we’re on the topic of war, remember that NONE of us are immune to propaganda. The oppressive forces that be work overtime to sow division, create scapegoats, and distort the truth in order to distract from their malevolence that holds the entire world hostage. I’ve already made it clear how AI is adding to this growing wave of self-induced ignorance and lack of critical thinking, so please take it upon yourselves to read, research, listen, ask questions, and find enjoyment in falling down the rabbit holes of history that those in power try to conceal from the masses. Hopefully you can find some of that enjoyment here.
Also, please tell us what you’ve all been up to in the comments! How you’re feeling given everything going on, what you’re excited for with these transits, etc. And for those that want more Q&As, please don’t be shy with the questions next month — we want to hear from you!
We’ll be back before the month is up :) Stay cool and stay safe <3

Thank you so much for answering my question! It really means alot and I will pass it along to my friends the next time we meet up 😊 I just finished "Fearing the Black Body" by Sabrina Strings and re-reading bell hooks is next! Thank you again for all you do 🫶
I have been in my obscure book rabbit hole for a while now and have finally gotten around to starting Eileen J Garrett's "Awareness". She was a close friend of Aldous Huxley and a well-known medium who documented sooo much of her psychic journey. What is fascinating about this book is that it was written in 1943, not long after Uranus had entered gemini and of course not long after the second world war started. I am eager to see what perspectives and ideas I leave with to share with my fellow radical witches...
